I Have the Power

Despising myself
no longer makes any sense.
Create a new me!

Sometimes our biggest problems are ourselves. Could it be as easy as letting go?

Wal-Mart Blue

Sunny cloudless skies,
horizons of blue and green
and then there's Wal-Mart.

I was waiting in my car for my wife, enjoying the nice temperature and majesty of nature, until the sounds of a screeching child brought me back to the reality that was Wal-Mart parking lot.

God's Thumnail

Thumbnail in the sky
Deepest blue fading to black.
Alas, night has come.

I am player one.
Life has no 1-ups or saves.
If only it did.

In some video games, much like real life, there are harsh consequences for making mistakes. Players may lose items, miss opportunities, or even die. Unlike life, however, games have built in ways to try again, either by 1-ups (brings you back to life), or save points which bring you back to previous points in the game.

I can look back and see many times in my life where I would like to take more risks or go back and make better choices. Sometimes this player one wishes he could just restart the game.
